La fondation d’entreprise Jean-Paul Blachère, depuis 2004, veut participer au développement de l’Afrique en aidant la création contemporaine et la promotion de ses artistes. Dans son centre d’art, situé au cœur de l’entreprise, en pleine zone industrielle, elle présente des expositions et accueille des artistes en résidence. Elle organise aussi des ateliers de création en Afrique et en Europe et participe aux grandes biennales africaines, dont celle de Dakar notamment. Elle est en charge de la conservation des œuvres de la Collection Blachère.
La fondation repose sur un système de valeurs esthétiques et éthiques. Elle s’inscrit dans le champ de l’art contemporain et vient relayer les efforts entrepris de longue date par les institutions, les collectionneurs, les galeristes, les critiques, les journalistes… Tous ceux qui contribuent à la reconnaissance des artistes d’aujourd’hui du continent africain et de la diaspora.
Since 2004, the corporate foundation Jean-Paul Blachere wants to participate in the development of Africa by helping the contemporary creation and promotion of the artists. In its art centre, located in the heart of Blachere Illumination company, in an industrial zone, it presents exhibitions and welcomes artists in residency. It also organizes creating workshops in Africa and in Europe, and participates to great African biennials, including the Dakar biennial. It also handles the preservation of the works of Collection Blachere.
Fondation Blachère rests on a system of esthetic and ethical values. It is in the field of the contemporary art and comes to relieve the efforts undertaken for a long time by institutions, collectors, gallery owners, critics, journalists… All those who contribute to the recognition of the artists of today of the African continent and the diaspora.
Blachère illumination
La société Blachère est le leader européen des illuminations festives en milieu urbain. Cette PME familiale, dont le siège social est à Apt en Provence, et qui s’appuie sur une vingtaine de filiales, a fêté ses quarante ans en 2013.
Son activité créative – elle a notamment inventé l’architecture du fil lumière à l’exposition universelle de Séville en 1992 – la rapproche des artistes et des designers.
Blachère Illumination agit aussi dans les domaines de l’humanitaire et du développement durable.

Blachère company is the European leader of the festive illuminations in urban zones. This family SME, whose head office belongs to Apt in Provence, and which leans on about twenty subsidiaries, celebrated its forty years anniversary in 2013.
Its creative activity - it invented in particular the architecture of the thread light in the Seville World Fair in 1992 - moves it closer to artists and designers.
Blachère Illumination also acts in the domains of humanitarianism and sustainable development.
