Our actions
Foundations traditionally arise from the need
to organise art collections.
The Jean-Paul Blachère foundation is different, for it
was designed to act, not to organize cultural events.
The foundation is meant to be a tool for the activities of
artists and mediators from the African continent.
The founder's main objective was to be in close touch with
artistic creation. This induced us to develop diverse activities:
residences, workshops, cahiers
critiques, partnerships,
exhibitions.
Our corporate foundation being limited to a minimum duration
of five years, we are more committed to centring our action on
experimental practices.
Five seasons: sculpture,
photo, peinture, videos and digital
art, installations
and performances.
In Africa, we attempt to provide support for artistic initiatives,
in Provence we would like to act as a promotional showcase.
The founder's personality gave the impulse to our cultural
policy which is essentially based on human relationships, cultural
exchange and the readiness to assume responsibility.
The cooperation of light engineers and cultural
professionals is rare enough to be emphasised and encouraged.
